“Da molto tempo desideravo incidere la musica di Ludovico Einaudi. Trovo che in questo momento storico, carico di tensioni, la sua armonia sia estremamente importante.”

“Scegliere proprie soluzioni sonore e stilistiche per suonare le composizioni di Ludovico Einaudi è estremamente complesso, anche se da un punto di vista strumentale la sua musica si adatta perfettamente all’arpa. Quello che si rischia è fare una copia inutile delle sue esecuzioni… Ho pensato dunque molto al progetto prima di trovare una soluzione che lo giustificasse.”

“Alla fine, per esaltare una scrittura così nitida e delicata, ho pensato di unire all’arpa, l’arpa di cristallo suonata con varie tecniche: percossa, strofinata con mani bagnate, suonata con un arco di violino o con il respiro ed elaborata tramite granularizzatori.”

“Il risultato di questo lavoro sono 9 brani. Tutti hanno atmosfere evocative che credo rispettino gli originali, pur dipingendo, al tempo stesso, colori inediti.”

“For a long time, I thought to record the music by Ludovico Einaudi. I think, in this historical moment, full of tensions, his harmony is extremely important.”

“Finding a distinctive sound and a personal stylistic solution to play Ludovico Einaudi’s music is extremely complex, even if, from an instrumental point of view, his music is perfectly fitting to the Harp. The risk is to create a useless copy of his performances… I thought a lot about the project before finding a solution that justified it.”

“At the end, to enhance such a clear and delicate writing, I thought of combining the Harp with the Crystal Harp played with various techniques: beaten, rubbed with wet hands, played with a Violin bow or with the breath and blurred through granulators.”

“The result of this work are 9 tracks. All tracks have evocative atmospheres that, I think, respect the originals, while, at the same time, they paint new colors.”
